I always had a passion for shopping at yard sales, thrift shops, and later at estates sales and auctions. it became a fun hobby that I enjoyed and a nice way to find antiques and collectibles. there were many internesting stories behind a lot of the items they were being sold. 

I have kept a lot of the really neat collectibles or given them away as gifts. I have also sold a lot of the items that I have found to friends and family.

I have met many interesting people that were shopping and others that were selling their collectibles.

Now it has become a form of therapy just to browse through all the unique items. Maybe it is still just "the thrill of the hunt" to find really unique items.
